I love your attitude but you will need a bit more than that. I have the stones to target you but I would have to stop folding to let you catch up. I'm just having fun or I lose my focus. Didn't mean to ruffle your feathers.

It's all in good fun lol. I enjoy friendly competitions. It's when people start taking it personally that it gets out of hand lol. Luckily that's not the case here. Good luck and here's to a hopeful 1st place win during the chimp challenge.

@Repo make sure you get Tapatalk from the app market. It really streamlines forums.

I've got access to 12 core 2 quad machines that wont be touched all summer but I would have to format all of them and install windows. Not sure what kind of combined ppd they could get.

Edit: they are just 2.4 ghz machines

you could install ubuntu on them and get a bit more points and not have to worry about windows. Hey Nathan, I could help a little with the ubuntu install but I just barely managed to get through it myself! Its fairly straight forward but for me it has taken V7 a bit to stabilize. I have had server connection issues and a bigadv shortage, smp folding and a terrible bigadv unit that took over 2 days. The payback is that I just dropped a 6901 yesterday for a huge jump and it rockets through units like that one. I think its coming back to the stability that I had on windows and I think most of the issues were on Stanford's side but I just wanted to give you a heads up. Let me know if you have any questions for the switch. PS i'm not using vmware cause I have an intel 6 core so I don't need the fake cores.
Sorry I'v been missing guys but Iv been running around like crazy do to school and holidays!

So your just dual booting? Did you have to do some sort of custom image for FAH or just a Linux V7 client?

just a dual boot with a linux v7 client and then I left it alone except for observation. what im hoping for next is an hfm that can read v7 and read between windows and ubuntu, or to try and figure out how to upload my stats to a webpage to monitor each client. so have you decided to wait till lga 2011 socket or are you going to go 2600k or just hang tight for a while? It would be a shame to loose an old salty dog like yourself from the Brass Bottom Boys (& Babe) team! We sure don't want you to go!

I'm going to wait. I'm gonna buy another 480, a Corsair AX1200, A nice sound card, a Corsair H70 with 2 shroud and some san ace's or gentle typhoon AP-15's, my wifes laptop, and a couple of 3tb HDD's. I think that's it for now. I'll keep you guys posted. But for now you get to keep the only member of the BBB that was actually a sailor and is still a golden shellback (google it).

I'll have to look into Tapatalk. Haven't seen anything about it other than "usiing tapatalk" on the bottom of people's posts.
