Yeah...

GDocs finally forced me to upgrade to their new graph version (been holding it off for months), and they don't embed properly. Worst of all, I can't even post as a static image either, since that's just not working.

Anyway, spent way too long on that spreadsheet for one day. I'm going to sleep before it gets too sunny.

Hey guys (and gal), I'm just checking in and reporting that I started this WU at the perfect time. I'm poised to drop it at around 2:08am on June 1st for an estimated 75k points. Also, sorry to hear about your computer woes Austin. Maybe I can help. I know its not a 580 but I do still have a 480. I can temp fold for Austin for as long as he needs me to (or as long as I am permitted, which ever is shorter). He's bailed me out more than once. So this is me running it past you guys. Sure it'll take a little away from my second Wu for the month but we'll overall end up making about 13-15k ppd more than if I didn't. Let me know if this is what you want to do and what I need to do to make it happen. Enjoy your trip Austin and everyone else, enjoy your memorial day (or as much as one can enjoy a memorial day that is). Zodac, I know you "troll" these threads lol, so I'm gonna be PM'n you my passkey again to make sure you still have it on file ok? Hope you get it all worked out soon Austin and good luck.

How is everyone else doing? Are we all back on track and ready to kick some ass for June? Has anyone else checked in? If not, maybe everyone can peek their heads in for a minute and check in with a status report. Also Repo, is the OP updated with the latest members? I noticed that we're still looking for a replacement according to the OP. Hope to hear back from you guys and I look forward to some folding of epic proportions from The BBB this month.

The OP is indeed not updated. I'll do that now. And I'm more than happy to have you temp for Austin until his rig is back up. Go ahead and send Zodac the needed info, I've informed him/her/it that you'll be filling in for Austin.

I don't think I've told the whole team yet but I've upgraded to a GTX 275 from my 260 and I'm making maybe 1-2K PPD more than I was. Hopefully this extra 30-60K PPD/month will help us out. My card is folding steady. Though I need a new net card, mine has started dropping my network connection and/or restarting it and hanging on the final connection, so I have no internet sometimes which causes WUs to be delayed. I'm keeping a close eye on it for now until a suitable replacement card can be purchased. Fold on team!

Have you tried flashing the firmware on your current card and router Repo? How far is your computer from your router? Is a long Ethernet cable a viable solution? They make this device that you plug into you wall plug for power and then you plug an Ethernet cable into it from your router. Then you plug a second one close to where the device that you want internet on is and plug a Ethernet cable into it and then into the device. Essentially it uses the electric cables running through your walls as a Ethernet cable. Personally, I went to best buy and bought a 50' (or it might have been a 30') Ethernet cable for $30 and that's what I use. Alternatively there are several great WiFi adapters that work great and are relatively cheap. What is the model number of your router and current WiFi adapter? I'll look into the best and cheapest solutions to your problems.

@Austin, pm me your username and passkey that you use for your GTX 580 and ill just fold under that so that its easier for everyone involved. Or if we don't hear from Austin then can you give me the info you have for him please Zodac? Thanks guys.

Wired internet isn't an option. I'm too far away from my cable modem/router and I don't want to run wire all over my living room. I'm also leery to use that wall socket option because I live in an apartment and the wiring is probably not the best, lol (though that thing sounds REALLY cool!). I've upgraded the drivers on this card but it still does it. It's just the card I think. I've had it for years. My wife's Mac on the desk next to mine never loses a connection so I know it's not signal strength or range from my router. I'm on Win7 x64. Not sure what the specs are on this card off the top of my head and I don't feel like taking it out to look, lol. It's some cheap card (Mimo Wireless? something like that).

Well I'll compile you a list of cards and USB devices to get based on consumer reviews, professional reviews, and personal experience and pm you links (or name and model numbers) of the devices. Do you have any requirements? For instance, its pointless to buy a wireless N card if your router is wireless G and you have no plans on upgrading anytime soon ( though one could argue that by buying a wireless N card that you "future proof" at least that component of your computer). How far distance wise is your computer from your router and is there any walls or other objects obstructing a clear line of site between the two? Do you have a wireless home phone and if so what frequency does it operate on (usually either 2.4 GHz or 5.0 GHz) and is it near your computer or router? Is there a microwave anywhere near (of course within reason I mean) either device or in the path in between? Depending on your answers to those questions, you might not need a new card at all. Please get back to me on those questions and I'll make a list tomorrow. Talk to you guys later.
