Brass Bottom Boys - Page 213

I think, and hope, it was just a driver error. Updated driver sweeper, which I haven't done in a while since I always ran in safe mode...and still found a few reg keys from my dual nvidia/amd install. So probably found some other things. Cleaned out unnecessary crap as well and all seems to be quite a bit smoother.

Course of action was 11.5 (originally) => 11.6 (ick, didn't work nicely) => 11.2 So far so good! I'll see if it's stable at stock for a couple days before upping the clocks a smidge...

Awesome man. Sometimes the newest drivers are never the best, at least not for folding, lol. I usually find drivers that work and don't update them ever. Keep us posted man!

Glad to hear man. Hopefully my advice at least helped a little. I'm happy that you are back up and running written full speed (well stock full speed but running none the less) and rolling the ppd in. Good idea waiting on the OC a couple of days to see if it was in fact the driver issue and not a OC issue or some other unforeseen problem. I'd say when your done with your waiting period, to bring your OC back up to Your last know stable OC and test it out for a while before you start to fold on the OC again. Better to be sure that your stable than to fail a bunch of WU's. Keep us apprised (<~~Like my use of fancy vocabulary there Repo?) and let us know if you need any other help please.

Well, great new for the card. Bumped the clock up to my 850/1200 stable clock and made it through the whole day so far and haven't have a single FahCore close yet! So drivers are working good and getting me more steady PPD

Anyways I'll give it another day or two and make sure it's still solid before I jump back up to my 900/1200 OC. Either way at least now I can actually get my 8500 PPD!

That's fantastic news man. I'm glad to hear that you got it all worked out. When you go to OC, you might want to see what your new high OC is because the last drivers (and conflicts with the NVIDIA drivers you still had on there) might have been causing instability issues.

Got a smidge more of an OC, at least without bumping the voltage anymore. At 925mhz i had one FahCore shut down, but backed it off to 915 and all runs smoothly netting a ~9050 PPD when I'm not using my computer.

You guys ok with that? I sure am...if I start next month stable like this I hope to be in top 3 for ati cards category

Man, we would be ok with anything as long as you get some sort of points. That's a nice OC there man. How much voltage do you have going to it now?

@Zodac, I'm not sure. I haven't heard from Cait in a while. come to think of it, its been at least a couple of weeks IIRC. I'll try to PM Cait and see what's going on.

Edit: ok well I have tried to get a hold of Cait but so far haven't heard back yet. I only sent a message a little bit ago so I'll give it some time. I also message Zodac to find out what our options are for the mean time. As soon as I hear back from her, I'll let you guys know. I have also asked a friend to temp sub until we figure this all out and I'll let you know about that when I hear back. Hopefully everything is ok and Cait gets back online soon and we can go back to business as usual. I'll make sure to keep you guys in the loop. Talk to you guys soon but for now I'm going to try and get some sleep. It's almost 3 am here and I need to wake up early tomorrow (or I guess today now that its past midnight). I'll check back on here in a few hours to see if I have any replies and let you all know.
