I tried to upload the unit without langouste and this is what I got:

[10:05:44] - Server reports problem with unit.

I'm getting really tired of this each time I try to upload a unit. Maybe I shouldn't have bothered with trying to deactivate langouste frown.gif

Is this unit lost now?
Well, I did read around and I guess there's nothing I can do about it anymore. Guess this one is failed, sorry guys. This is really a waste of time having a 6903 failed by uploading it after crunching for 82 hours.

EDIT:

Picked up a 6901 for now and I absolutely do not use langouste anymore mad.gif

Yea, this line means that you can't really do anything about it:
Code:
[10:05:44] - Server reports problem with unit.

Did you have any crashes or lockups during the run? The unit may have gotten corrupted somehow if you had. Or even if the OC is borderline and your OS didn't crash this can still happen.

When did you disable Langouste? Before the unit was due to upload or after?

Some post have suggested that this can happen if you change Machine ID (in the config) during the run, did you do this?

e- Or even if the system really is truly stable this can apparently happen, and there doesn't seems to be any evidence what it could be. Could be a connection issue between you and Stanford too.

Ok no 1.0 GHz for me. I cant get it stable at 1.1v and don't want to go higher. I going to leave it at 950 so I can stop failing WUs.

e- Or even if the system really is truly stable this can apparently happen, and there doesn't seems to be any evidence what it could be. Could be a connection issue between you and Stanford too.

I think the problem was as follows:

> Unit was finished
> Langouste would not upload the unit
> I opened a new terminal and add ".\fah6 -smp 8 -configonly" flags
> It asked me to enter passkey and username
> Then I changed use proxy to "no" instead of "yes"
> I entered command line "./fah6 -smp 8 -send all" and it responded with the message "no unfinished units"

> I killed the new fah6 terminal and Ctrl+C'ed the terminal with Langouste and the fah6 that ran the 6903.
> Then I clicked restart child process in both terminals (Don't know exactly what it said but it was a red button)
> Langouste did connect and upload the unit, fah6 went ahead crunching the new 6903
> Server reports failure

*Realising my screw ups*

> I killed Langouste and the fah6 running the new 6903 (still at 0% luckily)
> I opened a new terminal and used command line "./fah6 -smp 8 -bigadv" and it picked up a 6901 which it it is currently folding

In any case langouste is not running in a terminal so I guess it's off now. I hope I won't encounter any problems regarding the upload of units anymore. So far Langouste had a failure rate of 100% for me. It failed my first 6901 and 3x 6903.

What are your o/c numbers like? I'm running Dual SLI GTX 560s at 1.025V, GPU clock at 900 MHz and memory clock at 2052 MHz getting about 15-17k PPD on each.

If you already had a Fah process running when you did the configonly and send all, maybe that had something to do with it screwing up. If you doesn't have a proxy set in the config it won't use Langouste, even if it happens to be running. Did you use a password for the proxy when you used it/Langouste?

Did you uncheck Langouste in Startup Applications? You'll find it under System>Preferences>Startup Applications, where you added it when you did the setup. You only need to uncheck it so it won't start on boot.

Fingers crossed that everything will work for you now.

I had proxy set up before when I used Langouste, now it downloads the units directly to my IP. Langouste does not run anymore (and won't ever if it concerns me mad.gif) and I did deselct it in the startup apps.

Corefix works to I think:
Code:
mairin@BigadvWS:~/fah$ ./fah6 -smp 8 -bigadv

Who actually uses langouste though?

IIRC it causes the unit to upload while you can download a new one simultaneously. But if it holds the units in queue like it does with mine and causes me to restart the client and etc. doesn't it work exclusively negative or what? I mean a unit is uploaded in about 20 minutes and langouste keeps the unit for like 2-5 hours, where is the profit or does it do something more? Sure it crunches the next one faster but you loose quite a lot of bonus on the previous unit or in worst case it exceeds deadline and you loose all of the bonus.
