Is it one of those little asus fans that comes with the motherboard? I wish that I could use mine but I guess I don't have a problem with mine overheating with the V10 blowing on it so its cool. My MB temps at 100 % load are 31c By the way please go back and check my pic from a page or so ago because I figured out how to fix it so that you guys can read it now. Please let me know if I have anything set incorrectly that you can tell. Oh and I have since stress tested it for most of today (from this morning until right before posting this hence why my GPU folding was at a stand still) and I haven't had one BSoD yet (Crossed fingers and knocking on wood) so I hope that this is the right setup for me. I did have a BSoD last night when I tried to overnight Test it so I had to tweak the voltages a little but it's still way below 3.0v so I'm happy. I have temps no higher than 65 @ 100% load and so I might keep my V10 after all for a while anyways and just upgrade later to a full WC loop when I can afford it (and when the wife is out to sea and can't keep me from buying it ;D). By then there should be some nice new toys to play with. I might even try a TEC WC setup. I know I'm gonna get Corsairs TEC WC Waterblock to use in my loop and in fact it will keep temps nice and low .

I think that I hear crickets over here..... Is everyone alright? Lol I hope you all had a great weekend and got all your Overclocking tweaking done and such. I know that I did and I can't be happier with the results. my CPU temps dropped by almost 20c and I didn't change any hardware I guess that's what I get for being a noob to OC'n. But all is well and I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. Talk to you all later and have a great week. Back to folding. I'm gonna be away from OCN and my computer in general for a few days to let this thing catch up on lost points I had over the weekend. I wasn't running much at all if any due to getting everything just right. So I figure that If I just turn it on and let it run without me on it surfing the web then it will do it's thing much smoother and generate much more points. Plus I should be getting my internet on soon so I can stop tethering my cell phone to get WU's and it will be getting them non stop by themselves without me even having to be home. That's why my points have been low for the month but I expect them to be at around 18-19k PPD for next month 24/7.

My overclock was messes up and a fan in my case was backwards. I had WAY too much voltage for my Vcore and QPI/DRAM which made my heat just out of control. So now I lowered my temps 20 degrees to be more like they should be.

Now I need to get my GTX 480 set to its optimal settings so that I have the most PPD for the team. I just got the high flow bracket in the mail from EVGA and installed it and now all I gotta do is get the High flow backplate when we get paid. It's like $20 + shipping but I hear it drops temps buy a lot when used with the bracket. I also saw a bracket mod that just cuts out all of the bars so that its unrestricted flow out the back. I think the back plate makes the air all go out the back of the case in stead of going into the case. So that should help keep my other temps really low. I was surprised that I had such low temps on my MB but I guess it makes sense since I have the V10 blowing the cold air on it so it makes my Chipset Heatsink not passive anymore. Hopefully I can get my temps down enough on my 480 that I can OC it more to get that much more PPD. I might get a little WC loop going specifically for the 480 only (which would be funny cause I don't even have a loop for my CPU). Who know's, I'm open to Ideas so let me know what you all think.

Update:
Hey guys I got a few older computers from the area President of Operation Homefront (I volunteer with them as there "Computer Nerd") and one of which is an old Mac (not that old I don't think) It says its a Power Mac G4 (I don't know anything about Mac's since I have never used them at all). Here is what it says under Hardware Overview:
Model Name:Power Mac G4
Model Identifier:PowerMac3,6
Processor Name:PowerPC G4 (3.2)
Processor Speed:1.25 GHz
Number Of CPUs:2
L2 Cache (per CPU):256 KB
L3 Cache (per CPU):2 MB
Memory:2 GB
Bus Speed:167 MHz
Boot ROM Version:4.4.8f2
Serial Number (system):XB3200GFP93
Sales Order Number:0100710925XB3200GFP93
Hardware UUID:00000000-0000-1000-8000-000A9570C4D6

I opened it up and It has 2 CPU's not a dual core. Please let me know if any of you know anything about macs and maybe I can get it setup as part of a folding farm if its any good.

Damm Zman you are a Folding PPD Destroyer. Hell he could be his own team and probably beat the rest of us. How many PPD do you get for your whole setup? because your pulling about 80k PPD for your CPU only lol.

The Misfits now have a 980x on board as well men. We'll have to keep an eye on the horizon for pesky tugboats.
