Brass Bottom Boys - Page 36

All fermi cards have the core and shaders locked together so to raise the shader I have to raise the core. Sucks but there is no way to unlock it.

I even bought the high flow bracket and will be buying the high flow back plate in a few days here to keep the temps lower. My OC is at: 1.138 V, 840 MHz Core clock, 1680 MHz Shader clock, and 1900 MHz Memory clock (which I'm not messing with because it's useless for Folding). Any ideas as to what I should do to get my PPD up? I know I have to raise the Shader clock but on the Fermi cards the shader and core are locked together and you can't unlock them. So If I want my Shader clock to go up I need to raise the Core clock too.
you are on air? 840 core is pretty good.

You actually could probably raise the memory a bit. 2000MHz should be real easy to get it running at, and seems to help stabilize the OC. I ran mine at 2300 with no problems while I was running 900 core (but I was on water)

Well I'm gonna bring it back down for stress testing again to see if I can raise the shaders without having it crash on me.

Edit: So I got my core up to 857.5 MHz and my shader clock up to 1715 MHz. My Memory clock is at 2000 MHz but I'm not pushing it up anymore since it doesn't help me with folding. I raised my voltage up to 1.14375 V. I am stable and over 17k PPD now. I'll give you a more definitive answer as to how many PPD I'm getting when I get a couple of WU's done. Thanks for all of the help.

Yes I am talking to myself lol. If I answer back is when you guys need to start to get worried though cause then I'm

Edit: So my 480 is steaming along (Pun intended) and I am now getting 17029.2 PPD (Which seems low for how high I have it overclocked but ehh whatever right) So If I fold 24/7 for September then I will have 510876 points for the month. So here's to a non stop month of folding guys. Let's take the trophy... lol

Capt'n ye be wanting us to deep six the bilge rat? ARRRRRRRRRR. Sorry I couldn't help myself either. So I was screwing around with some photoshop today and made my avatar (It was mean't to be a signature but apparently I don't have permissions yet). What do you all think? I'll post a pic below so that you don't need a magnifying glass to read it lol. I know that it can use a little refinement but it's my first time using photoshop and my first image ever created so it was a bit tough to teach myself.
