Brass Bottom Boys - Page 76

No worries man, we still have the lead so we won't be upset. Hopefully the bill is good so you can keep folding though, that's the important thing right now.

I am due to get my card back from eVGA tomorrow afternoon so I expect that at the most I will be back up and running by Tuesday just to give me a little time to tweak my card to get the most PPD out of it. I had to reinstall windows from all the crap that has happened to my hardware so I need to reinstall all of my folding clients and reconfigure them. I might need some help from you in that respect lol. I'll let you know if I get stuck again.

Lawrence, your going to be back soon I presume? I don't know if I will be able to Fold for that much longer. My roommates and I have to see this months bill. If its OK, then I should be able to keep folding!

Guess what I just got in the mail????? That's right boys and girls its my eVGA GTX 480 SC. I just need to change out the bracket to the high flow one and then change the thermal compound and pop it together and put it back in. Anyone game to help me get my GPU3 Client back going on my computer? I had to reinstall windows since my card blew up so I don't have the client on here anymore apparently =(

I don't care which client I use, Whichever gives me the most PPD (I'm sure they give the same and I will be using HFM.NET so it really doesn't matter). I can't get my HFM.NET to configure the client because the folder that it tells me in the guide by Zodac doesn't exist. Maybe I don't have show hidden folders anymore since I had to do a full reinstall of windows.

Get the systray one and do not use the viewer just install and fallow the instructions any doubt PM me glad you are back with some serious power! By the way if you need a custom bios for the 480 let me know I will change the values for you clocks and vGPU if needed. That goes for anyone on our team of course

I don't know quite what that means (lol) but I PM'd you since it seems to be the best route to go so I can pump out a ton of points for this pirate crew. I am overclocking now but will wait for my bios and such first.

PM'ed
PS: Tell me what values do you want me to put on your bios, such as Clock speeds and vcore for the gpu. Mine i gave 0.1v from 1.0v to 1.1v and gained 75MHz core and its only 3ºC hotter so win win situation but make sure to test well the OC and i will adjust better the moded bios

Edit: I have since OC'd my card to 800/1600/1900 and ran the eVGA OC scanner and had a max temp of 50c which leads me to believe that I have plenty of headroom left. What do you guys think?

Go for 850 core at least (maybe you will need more voltage though) my GTX460 is at 925 2days non stop now and 58/60ºC
