These companies are realizing the neccessity to create customer loyalty. With the many companies competing for your dollar they are now willing to extend greater service.

The ones that do not will fall by the wayside in time. Then there will be less companies. If a company is able to remove competition it will then (usually) lose it's desire for customer loyalty.

It's a Capitalist problematic cycle.
