well, its impossible for me to know if there may be compatibility issues with any future mobo etc. maybe i would have to adjust my choice later, i would be quite surprised to find many issues with what i regard as high quality gear ( OCZ), but i will only know by trial and error.
maybe i should contact OCZ direct?
i want to get this Ram ASAP though as it is a surprise gift for my Son for doing so well in his 1st 4 exams (he has got 4 x A grades with distinction)
i think he deserves something a bit special.

I have a set of RAM that'll be £90 shipped to you, check it out in my sig if you're interested

Definately some of the fastest stock DDR400 (2-3-2-5 1T), if your son doesn't OC much then I think it's a good price for the RAM

It's these
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatal...th_Series.html so you're saving £30-40

I have it in an Asus board and I havent had 1 problem with it

The best 2GB kits I've seen value-wise are the G.Skill kits. I don't know of any UK links, but you can get a 2GB kit at Newegg for $189. That would be the best option, in my opinion.

my understanding is that Corsair is just as good as any other ram brand.
should serve you quite well enough.

just try to avoid paralysis by analysis.
