New gaming rig / Need help or suggestions

Thread Starter
Hi guys, I am considering buying the following rig:

-Overclocked Intel® Core™ i7 930 Quad Core Processor (3.36GHz, 8MB Cache)
-Single 1GB GDDR5 ATI Radeon™ HD 5870
-6GB Triple Channel 1333Mhz DDR3
-500GB - SATA-II, 3Gb/s, 7,200RPM, 16MB Cache HDD
-Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium, 64bit, English

My main concern is overclocking the i7 930 to 3.36GHz. Obviously it is a very moderate overclock and was wondering if it was compatible and would run efficiently with 6GB Triple Channel 1333Mhz DDR3. I've read that 1600Mhz is recommended for overclocked CPUs, but would rather not spend the extra money if I didn't need to. Like I said, it is a very moderate overclock so is there any point in getting the 1600MHz? Any feedback on my build would be greatly appreciated.

1333 should be fine. That small of an overclock, i think the most the ram will need is a slight boost in voltage, if that.

You don't have to get 1600MHz ram if you don't want to. 1333 will be fine for a mild OC.

You can always put the RAM on the 1066 multiplier and with the OC to reach close to its rated 1333MHz.
