Onboard Sound Issues... Of course..

Does onboard sound have issues when your overclock your system? If yes, then how do you counteract that issue besides buying a sound card?

Or, is getting a sound card the only way to alleviate that issue?

For instance, 6 channel sound on BC2 will sometimes crap out (game crash) but OC is stable.

Any info?!

its probably the game, i have never got a sound issue even with an unstable oc.

Have you tried to reinstall the game and driver. Make sure you clean out the bc2 dir first.

I seem to think it's the game also, but I also think that it's related to overclocking the NB (base is 200 I'm at 300).

Maybe it's just that bad of a chip? VIA1708s?

Skype also causes issues with it where I'll be listening to music over speakers and on my DSP-500's in a call and then start up a game and *poof* Skype craps out and nearly takes anything else open with it... But I do blame Skype for that...
