Burned 24pin power connector P6T6

Well, I got a nice "surprise" this morning trying to power up my computer.

The power connector from the enermax 1050W burned two pins, and the plastic got molded. PSU still works tho. I guess the motherboard sucked too much power from the connector.

Can't connect another PSU since the burned connector from the PSU left some burned plastic inside. On the enermax, the motherboard would cough but not start up. I guess the power connection is toast.

The PSU is working fine on another computer. So I will need to replace the connector on it when I get some time.

So, what should I burn up next?
UD7, P6T7 (might not with only one 5v connector extra), Ramage3, XPower?

I might favor the msi since it has lots of room for extra power to the cpu, without sucking everything from a 24+8 pins only. UD7 is nice but I hate the layout of the GPUs.

What you say?

oh oh....looks like a case just like the Evga 3 way SLI classy boards burning up with 2x GTX 480's in SLI......I think it was something to due with the lack of molex 4 pins dedicated to the PCIE slots as only the really high end boards have it...ie. UD9

If your running 3x SLI I suggest grab a board that has a molex 4 pin dedicated for the PCIE slots to handle the high power draw from the 480s drawing from the PCIE slots

Well it looks like the PSU was more at fault here than the motherboard.
Since I bought them both at the same store, I will try and get them RMAed, while I get R3E and a stronger PSU.
