I've powered up this piece of junk to do some OC. I've cranked up the CPU to 3.6Ghz @ stock voltage by that received 22k in 3dmark 06. Not to bad for this tiny thing.

The temps were @ load:
CPU: 45c-50c
GPU: 43c
MB: 46c

and @ idle:
CPU: ~30c
GPU: 29c
mb: ~30c

I'm really happy with the coolingperformance. What I'm not happy with is that you can only crank up the BLC to 170 on my motherboard. The bios is locked in that way. I'm sure I could bring this above 4GHz if It weren't because of that thing.

Maybe someone of you know how to unlock it?

"This week", guess it took me a little longer. But those who wait for something fun/great/good.. Whatever it is never (always in my opinion) wait to long.

I've done some major progress on the build, and some set backs to. First, the bad news: I've toasted 3 of my harddrives (1tb each) and my SSD, so I'm without a drive atm. The good news is that it have given me the opportunity to focus on the modding, as I'm not able to use the PC either way.

I've dismantled the rig surely 10 times, since I last updated this thread, and I've been busy with some stuff, besides modding so it have been slow progress. But I hope you like this anyways.

#1 -I have done a plexi+led thingy under my motherboard, to illuminate the rig from within. I think that it have given the build some edge. But I don't really have a good picture of it right now. But here's one bad for you:

I've also mounted the PSU, but that cablemangement wasn't very flattering, so I've redone that since the picture above.

#2 I've sandblasted, and powder-coated my case white! And the result was perfect. A really nice finish, and I personally think that it gave the whole project more of a custom feeling, and making it stand out even more. The pictures I've taken isn't really artistic, but they show my result at least.

Enjoy!

Further plans are to do something artistic with the exterior, do some cablemanagement, buy acryl and do a mount for 2.5" drives and SSD's in the front and do a window-top for the case. You don't want your friends dirty hands on your hardware, do you? :-P Anyways, stay tuned - More updates will come

Thanks bro! :-D

Oh.. Let me see now. I'm not sure which exposure and aperture is.. But I'm guessing that Aperture is the F-value, and on the Nikon D40 I'm using as high as possible. F20+, F36 when fully zoomed. Then I adjust the exposure based on how much light I want to let through. I can't give you an exact value but I can say that It's impossible to shot like I do without a tripod. I've learned by following Nils (Dualbrain) MDPC photography tutorial in the bottom of the Million-Dollar-PC page.

I'm using ISO 200, it's the smallest number you can use on the Nikon D40. Then a 2sec time-controlled shutter, so I don't touch the camera when I shot.

Oh, I'm working on something for the Echo. Have you ever seen a computer painted with some structured paint like aquarelle?

This is how it usually is used:

I'm going to use it on Echo, and I'm going with a Japanese influenced hanya Mask, with some cherryblossom and with a touch of elemental swirling around it making it into a whole painting and not just an object. I think it's going to turn out great. Right now I'm delineates the the mask with a pen. It's going forward, but I want to be 100% satisfied before I paint it.

I went with acrylics instead, not sure why but it just happend that way. Here's is some results. It's still a work in progress but I'm actually doing some progress and it's not just standing still.

I hope you like it, but either way, please give me some reflections on it.

Alright, here's some of my progress! I'm painting the case with acrylics, seen anything like that before? I've still some work left on it, but It's finished enough to show you guys what I've been working on.

I'm going to work with some details using a blackmarker pen, I think it will be cool to sort of do a style crossover thingy. I'm a bit split about this whole painting thing tho, I think it's a bit to much, but still it's something different and probably takes some getting used to. I can still remove the paint and go back to having it clean white. It's more stylish in that way.

Like I said, I'm a bit split in this matter. :-/
