9500 issue

Thread Starter
I have a quick and interesting question. While I wait for my 7900GT to get to my house this week, I've thrown all my stuff together and done all the cable management during the wait.

However, when I go to power up the system, without the graphics card obviously and to make sure everything is working nicely, the LED on the 9500 stays on only for about 6 seconds before turning off and the fan seems to go a little slower.

The fan still spins and everything just no LED is on. I'm wondering why. It's not a huge issue, because as long as it is working, I can test the temps when the graphics card comes, I'm just curious as to what is up.

Other specs if necessary

AMD X2 4400+
DFI Ultra-D
Ultra X-Connect 2 550W
2GB OCZ EL Platinum
X-Fi XtremeMusic
150GB Raptor

this is proberly AMD cool and quiet or the motherboard bios slowing down the fan to make it quiter, the reason the LED's are dimming and then appear to be off is because there is less voltage goin through the fan as its spinning slower so the LED's are gettin les power and dimmng.

yes it could be Cool and quite limiting the voltage thus making the lED dimmer and the fan slower..the only other thing would be a dying fan.

Also Welcome to oc.net mate.
