Same flashing procedure eraseeeprom and all. or nvflash -9

My knowledge on this stuff is VERY limited. I have no idea what the stock VID was, either. 16,000 errors and OCCT stopped at 12minutes. 86c max temp. Not sure where to go from here. Actually considering returning the card and getting a regular 470. I don't want to brick my card.
In progress.

There's really no risk to be honest if you backed up your original bios. I've flashed my card like 5 times now to try different bios. Also remember that if you get a regular 470 there is no guarantee you'll get better clocks AND your temps will definitely be way higher with louder fan noise

Woah, people are hitting 78c with this card? Mine's running at 67c at full Furmark load at 800/1600/1850/1.087v. Just processed my RMA for #0188.

I have high ambient temps, and poor case airflow with my Antec 900. I have cable management issues.

My top card has hit 80C in Kombustor but my bottom card doesn't get over 59C. I wish there was SOME room in between my cards.

Everyone's taking measurements of temps with different stress software, different ambient temps, different clocks/voltage, and different fan speeds. At this point none of these temps mean anything unless they're at least remotely similar to your test setup

I'm currently using grunion's BIOS named "EVGA Identifying - 1.15v max." in this thread: http://www.overclock.net/nvidia/7097...ng-thread.html

As of right now, I tried grunion's other BIOS with 1.21V max, NCspecV81's 470r.rom, and that stock MSI 470 BIOS (here). All of them were unstable when trying to overclock (but I've had 5 different BIOS flashes because I tried NCspecV81's twice). But this BIOS - with its stock of 700/1400/1848 - seems stable on my card. I have it overclocked to 750/1500/1848, I left the voltage alone at 1.100V, and I put the fan speed to 100%. I've had EVGA OC Scanner running for 45 minutes now with absolutely 0 artifacts!! My settings are 200ms polling, power draw unlocked, Enable Scanner, and Enable On Screen Info.

The highest temperature so far is 68°C too!

Although, I have a feeling that I am seeing this success because I've never tested with a core clock below 800 MHz. :/
It's a computer!

Sounds like you need to consider upgrading to a Cooler Master HAF.
