You'll have to lookup the rail distribution for your psu to find out if the pci-e lines are on their own or if they're sharing amperage with other lines. At the end, you'll probably need to find that out anyways in order to give the videocard enough power. If it turns out that a single rail can not supply enough amperage, then you might want to try connecting a molex-to-6pin pci-e connector from the other rail in order to supplement the pci-e rail.

YES! ARTIFACTS and no more crashing! Heh, switched off a dedicated PCIe and added a 2molex-PCIe connector. Thanks guys.

So, I've begun the lapping/re-timming process.

I was thinking I'd take a bunch of pics and post temps before/after and all that.

But since nobody can be bothered (aside from like 3 of you ... thanks to those people) to visit my benchmarking thread I spent hours and hours making for y'all ... I don't think I'll bother

Aww brett

I'm sorry man. If I wasn't so caught up in flashing to a new ROM on my phone today when I wasn't at work, I would have definitely been visiting your thread. I'll check it out tomorrow when I have some free time

And I definitely would like to see before and after pictures and temps of your process, but I understand why you wouldn't want to go through the effort. My build log doesn't get any traffic or replies either, which is pretty discouraging.

i keep saying we should have a list with all this info on the first page, it will be easier for other people to overclock their cards.
I think it would be very difficult to keep track of overclocks and BIOS' used over the span of 100+ pages. That being said, if everyone would like to e-mail me there frequencies and BIOS, then I could put together another spreadsheet.

Oh, UPS shows mine's DELIVERED!! Now to drive home!

Btw, how do you see your stock vid again? I read through a bunch of pages where people were asking it alot, then it seems like magically everybody found their answer somewhere

Gonna take lots of pictures and do some benches lol, Brett, any particular benches you want me to run? I figured I can just post them in your thread and consolidate instead of making a new thread.
Are we still in search of a regular Twin Frozr II BIOS? If so, I'll post it in the OP.

I've linked it in the OP (maybe I should make the font bigger) and posted in it today.

I think it's a fantastic thread and I'll be consistently checking when I actually get my cards and can do some Vantage runs.

I wasn't aware you had a build log. Link me, good sir!

Are you lapping the hsf or both the hsf and the gpu?

I flashed with grunions ocx480.rom. I runs all day solid at 700 core and 1848 memory. But when I use afterburner to increase the core to 800, and then run Kombustor, it immediately resets to a super low core of about 400MHz. And the only way to get the card back to normal is a complete system power reset.

What is up with that?
