MSI GTX465 Twin Frozr II Golden Edition Owners Club - Page 21

Just curious. If I attempt the unlock and for some reason, it doesn't work. I can always flash it back to the original bios and return the card, right? If it doesn't flash, I want to return and buy a full on 470. I'm buying this card primarily because it's limited edition and has an awesome cooler. Plus the fact that they unlock

Yeah you can always flash it back. Remember to back up your bios before flashing

Just because you have the money for one means you need one? You have a C2D which isn't going to take the 470 to its full potential.

So? Who says I can't upgrade that to a Q9650 in 4-6 months (or maybe sooner)?

yes, but you MIGHT get lucky and get a golden card through one of the vanilla GTX 470's

The msi 465 definitely takes the cake as far as looks coolest. After that, the unlock is icing

I don't know. I think I'm just growing rather impatient because I've become quite addicted to the first Crysis, and now I am at a point where I can't stand the performance of the 260 anymore. I mean, my skills are at a point where the performance of the 260 is limiting what I can do in the game. Worse yet, I've already set everything to Very High and tried to go back to lower settings for better performance, but the lower quality is distracting.

I'm too anal for my own good. hehehe

I apologize for how this sounds, but I couldn't care less about the game; all I am after is the graphics card.
