Hmm. If I knew how I would. I guess I can make it a project. Thanks for the suggestion. I guess I could just stop playing metro as well

Were both cards getting close to 100C or just the top card?

Is it worth it to return my card? I can't even run at stock clocks without tons of artifacts and high voltage so I don't really know what to do now.

If you can't run stock clocks, by all means, return the thing. You paid for something that was supposed to work at a particular set standard and that standard was compromised. You have every right to return a product in this case for a full refund.

It looks like Newegg doesn't carry it anymore so I'm stuck.

What was your voltage and memory clocks while doing 800 core on this Bios? I am looking into overclock tests on this Bios and would like a starting point if you don't mind sharing

He means stock 470 clocks with a stock 470 bios though.

I'd try it on a fresh windows install, and if that still doesn't work and you can't get it stable as a 470 no matter what volts/clocks you run, I'd return it and get a 460 or a 470 if it were me man. Sucks to pay the restock, but you might be able to get out of it if you're exchanging it for a real 470 that's at or above the same price. I'd call newegg and tell 'em it's messed up & see if you can exchange it w/o the restock fee.

Heck, even if they send it back to MSI since you told them it's defective, you're just saving someone else the same disappointment you're going through anyways.

I also used the stock bios (465) and stock clocks and I still got artifacts. Again I increased the voltage to see if it would help but nothing changed. This can't be a good card.

I was running 1.087 with 800 core and memory at stock. Previously, within the first minute I would get clumps of artifacts in OCCT GPU stress test with shader complexity 8 at 1920x1200 full screen. With this bios, I got 1 artifact in 5 mins.
