vPLL mod going down. Not completed yet, but should be here shortly. Tape is temporary as I normally like to use hot glue on the back due to it's adhesive properties and easy removal.

I'm using straight 6 pins. I also overclocked this card when it was unlocked and ran Furmark and MSI Kombustor to see if it would crash. So far I've only had 1 crash with this card and that was playing Crysis for 10 minutes unlocked and overclocked, but that was most likely due to insufficient voltage. I'm not worried about that though; the artifacts are really getting to me lol

The only game artifacting for me is GTA4, but that's the game itself. Did it in the same places on my old card. That game is so horribly done for PC.
In progress.

Dunno how your HD's are situated, but you might try moving it/them all down to the lowest bays.

Alternatively you could get one of these like I have:

http://store.antec.com/Product/acces...5-30044-5.aspx

Fits up to three HD's, slides into three slots in the front, gives more airflow across the top/back of the cards, and most importantly lets you remove your current HD bay completely (if you <=3 drives and you move them to this new bay) from your Sniper, so that big front fan will have nothing between it and the graphics cards. That whole assembly comes out really easily.

If you can get the bottom of your case looking like the bottom of this dudes case you should be golden:
I have not tried the mesh panel with fan yet. I will try that now. I am going to cut out the mesh on the bottom fan now as well. I will buy a new fan for the bottom of the case as well. Thanks for the tips. I will try this now and report back.

I tried to lower the top card to .975 but it would not let me, keeps setting itself to one volt. Thanks for the pics as well. Hopefully I can get the temps to drop a few degrees

Metro will roast card #1 if not

This bad boy runs hot.. I got the card to run at 800/1600 @ 1.087v and was stable during MSI Kombuster but utterly failed both Furmark and OCCT.

I've brought the card down to 715/1430 @ 1.087v and I am currently testing to see how stable it runs on Furmark.

Update:

Just crashed on me after an hour of Furmark at 715/1430 @ 1.087v.

I never get above 77 in furmark or kombustor. 82 max in OC Scanner.

Yeah, my card idles lower than my 5850, its got some great cooling. I just wish I didn't have to send back my second card.

I tried to flash it with three different BIOSes and it BSODs on every single one. So I flash it back to the 465 GE BIOS. Now it's causing a huge amount of artifacts and the GPU-Z info doesn't populate (other than stating it's a GTX 465) even with the drivers installed. It seems like it's time to RMA. Anyone have any other ideas?

I just ordered this card (so excited!) but I was just wondering if 1.087v safe to run 24/7? What kind of overclock is considered good/excellent once unlocked? With my case (Silverstone RV02), are temps going to be an issue since the hot air is expelled everywhere and not out from the side shroud?

Sorry for the numerous questions but I just can't wait to install and test this card!

I don't think you'll have a problem with a single card. The airflow should be pretty good in your case. I consider a good overclock stock GTX 480 clocks and above (700/1848 +). 1.087v is safe for 24/7 use (it should under volt in 2D mode) but personally, I wouldn't run my card with that voltage all the time.
