MSI GTX465 Twin Frozr II Golden Edition Owners Club - Page 243

Hi guys,

Just a quick intro... I think Rajiv already introduced himself in another post in this thread.

I'm Alex, Associate Marketing Manager in charge of VGA here at MSI. I ran across this thread about a week ago doing some research for product information, and was utterly shocked to see the enthusiasm for this Golden Edition GTX465 card.

We always want to have something innovative and unique for the end-user, and it's great to see such wonderful feedback on forums (and without manufacturer interaction). Heck, there's enough great quotes in here for MSI to last a lifetime!

All jokes aside, we're glad to see the support of 465GTX GE owners. If you have questions, please feel free to send me information... I can't seem to find the PM feature on here (and I'm definitely no forum noob).

On a sidenote: this thread gave me a great idea on a future idea I wish to implement for MSI card owners. I'll post a separate thread when we're ready with some more details.

Cheers!
Alex Chang

I was just stating that I hope my second card (purchased at NCIX) overclocks as well as my current card.

I have no solution for the ticking. Mine does it at 60% and up!

Look what I found at Microcenter!
I had to pull the trigger on this one, seemed like a low enough number for me.
I also have another GTX 465 on the way from ANTOnline.
Call me greedy, but I plan to return the higher numbered card.

Number 335 - Sorry for the disgusting cellphone picture.

Hopefully this number is low enough for an unlock and stable OC'ing?

Welcome to the the thread and to OCN!

I'm ecstatic to see some genuine MSI reps in here. I never thought that would happen when I first created this thread.

The only time I've used the PM feature, I've clicked on the users name and used the drop-down list. However, you can access your OCN mailbox by selecting "Private Messages:" at the top right of the web page (under your username).

Hi there and welcome to overclock.net Great to see MSI is taking a step in consumer relations.

Sorry to be blatantly asking you a question right after you joined but if you had time, could you take a look at my post over here?

I understand that this is a great card and it has been performing monstrously well for most, but I seem to be having some troubles with it. Any help at all will be greatly appreciated.

But I still get a random dropout here and there, anyone have any ideas or suggestions? I am sending audio and video over HDMI.

EDIT:
Just noticed card 664 has NO. and card 1638 is just N . lol
Well just figured out my problem.

It was the POS mini HDMI adaptor. My HDMI cable was putting too much weight on the mini adapter which was loosing connection causing the signal dropouts. I moved the PC to get some more slack on the HDMI cable but will be picking up a Mini HDMI to HDMI cable to replace the adaptor ASAP.

Thank God it wasn't a problem with the cards.

Would it be worth it to send this card back to MSI? Will they even do anything because I flashed it to a 470? I mean right now I have it running completely stock out of the box; it's a 465, but will they say that the warranty's void?

I cannot just give up on this card...I will not!
