Reinstalled the latest driver ver 258..., it still 465 after all

I'm not guaranteeing that reinstalling the driver will work, but rather I'm saying that it's a possibility.

has oni one card in my system, ok will try. Tks.

If so, you need to run the following:

nvflash --index

That will tell you the index number of both of your cards. Once you know the index of both of your cards you need to modify the commands like so:

nvflash --index=n --save 465ge.rom
nvflash --index=n --eraseeeprom
nvflash --index=n -4 -5 -6 470.rom

Where n=the index number of your card.

Even if you have only 1 card, you may still want to try it this way.

So you booted from a USB flash drive, typed "nvflash --eraseeeprom", confirmed it by pressing 'y', then typed "nvflash -4 -5 -6 biosname.rom", confirmed it, but yet it still isn't showing as a 470?

Hmm. Then let's try it like this:

nvflash --eraseeeprom

nvflash -9

nvflash -4 -5 -6 biosname.rom

If that doesn't work, then I don't know what else to try.

Ordered 465GE in russia (cost about 280$), will recieve it soon, got some questions =)

1. What do i need to do before flashing? like check the VID etc., what info will i need..
2. Is it ok that i have PCI-e v.1.0?
3. If i`ll add GT240 to the 2nd PCI-e slot, will it improve fps in physx games or standalone 470gtx will be enough? don`t want to leave my 8800ultra for physx cuz its so hungry&hot >:|
4. Possible CPU bottleneck?
5. Any hints how to modify stock cooler or it is ok?
6. But will it blend?

sorry for bad english =)

Before flashing, use Afterburner version 1.6.1 to check the VID. The VID is the voltage that is selected prior to modifying it (or, when clicking Reset after modifying it).

It's ok to have PCI-E 1.0 because PCI-E 2.0 cards are compatible with PCI-E 1.0 slots. The difference in performance wouldn't be noticeable either. I went from a PCI-E 1.0 motherboard to a PCI-E 2.0 board back during the time when I had a GTX 260 (which, of course is a PCI-E 2.0 card), and I didn't see or feel any difference in the performance.

As for a PhysX card: I recommend experimenting.

Regarding the possibility of a CPU bottleneck: hmm, well there might be a tiny one, but probably not enough to justify an immediate upgrade.

And finally: leave the stock cooling alone for now. If it seems to be running hot, then there are things that can be done about it.

If you want to try to blend it, then you'll need an industrial-strength blender. But before using it, such a blender will need a heavy modification.
