I was considering it, but running two cards in SLI in side by side slots my top card is getting close to 100C under load while the bottom is in the 70C range. Decided to change motherboards to the ASUS rampage III Extreme so I can space the two cards out in 2-way SLI. Would love to try Tri-SLI but not with these twin frozr coolers, they need air space to work.

Well, update:

my second card arrived today, #1698, i will post pics later.
On other matter, after read that some users are having issues with some rattle noise from the fans i checked mine(1692) and hear a little sound that i suspect was the same and after a inspection found the source, the 3 bolts that hold the fan to the heatsink are a little loose, i will go tomorrow to get a very slim screwdriver so i can slide it betwen the fan's blades to fix this.

Wait, if you have the EVGA X58 3 Way SLI E758 board, why do you have to buy an RIIIE to get space between the cards? Just use slots 1 + 3 and you're golden.

I'd venture a guess that slots 1/2 are x16, but slot 3 may be x8?

I didn't research to verify, but that'd be my guess.

On my board, slots 1/2 are x16, slot 3 is x4, and slot 4 is x8 (if I recall correctly).
