You couldn't have said it better . I tried 1.025v and that was also a no go, so right when I was getting a bit bummed I try 1.037v and it's perfectly stable now at 70C I kept reading how low everyone's temps were with this card but now after experiencing myself I can honestly say that this card is the shiznit

I will attempt some overclocking so hope that also goes just as well. I was just curious though, how low has everyone managed to keep their voltage? And at what clock?

I'm back to Afterburner 1.6.1 now as it is allowing me to set voltage unlike version 2.0.

Another interesting thing to note was that 2.0 recognized the card as 'MSi N470GTX Twin Frozr II Power Edition' whereas 1.6.1 recognized it as 'GeForce GTX 470'. This is with the 470 twin frozr bios.

Like someone had mentioned earlier, it may be the bios that is preventing Afterburner 2.0 from unlocking voltage. But it actually seems to me that 2.0 is the problem, something with the program code and how it recognizes the video card. Regardless I'm sticking to 1.6.1 for now.

1.6.1 was capping my voltages at 1.087V instead of the 1.213V that I have in BIOS. So I used Nvidia Inspector and all has been working well.

Anyone get a weird problem after unlocking that causes black lines and boxes along the wire framing in games every now and then? I played yesterday for 3 hours without any problems, then later in the day, it messes up. I can still fold fine on it though O.o....

ok you can officially add #620 to the list cause it went off without a hitch. finally got off work so I could unlock this thing. done! card bought off newegg and I am using the 470gtx twin frozr ii bios. 1.087v 800core/1600shade/1800mem.

I could only use the trial version of 3Dvantage at the moment which posts the scores online, so they are highlighted.

and despite any and all SPECULATION this is a NEW card. the pics on newegg confirm this having the same marks on it. Also with the way this thing has been performing and unlocked there is no way anyone would have returned it.

I did and even tried to reboot the machine with settings saved and still didn't worked. It was the bios that did it. I was using MSI 470 twin bios and switched to grunion's 1.213v.

I'm running mine @ stock (470) settings - 607/1215/1674 @ 1.012v and I'm getting this score;

Attachment 171064

I had to settle with stock settings for now for I can never get it stable in folding. The last time it crashes were @ 700/1400/1800 @ 1.087v.

Which BIOS are you using? It may just need some adjustments now that it's been flashed. Like, perhaps it needs more voltage, or maybe it needs a slightly lower memory clock. Either way, now that it's working, it's time to either tweak it, or try other BIOS versions.
