MSI GTX465 Twin Frozr II Golden Edition Owners Club - Page 358

I flashed it, booted up but I can't make it through "heaven" benchmark. I get "driver stopped working" error, and then "D3D11AppWindow::do_swap(): Device Removed"

I did driver sweeper and reinstalled the 470 driver, but it still does this. GPU-Z shows it as a 470 like everyone else.

258.96 is what afterburner says. It is whatever nvidia hands out when you plug in "GTX470" to their website.

Edit: my screen just went nuts with a bunch of glittery snowflakes. I'm going to try a different 470 bios and see what happens.

I made a BIG boo boo. A couple days ago when the newegg "reminder" link was posted. I thought about putting in an order just in case one of mine was messed up. Well I did it twice. I was using my phone and the first time I did it, I thought it didn't go through cause sometimes at the very end it'll ask for your CC/bank info to "secure" it. Well it wouldn't let me click on it, so I X'd out of the browser. Did it again and thought it didn't go through again. I also checked my account to make sure I didn't have anything. Well I have two heading my way *facepalm*.

F...SH...Hell. Well crap. If newegg doesn't play nice to take them back, then I'll sell them on here. I'm such a bonehead. At least I canceled my MicroCenter order. I give them A+ cause I never talked to a computer and I was done canceling the order in a couple minutes. I'll keep an eye on their website from now on.

Newegg will have no problem with it. Just make sure you call them, otherwise you might get stuck with a restocking fee.

Glad I checked the email account that's associated with my newegg account or I would have thought I got some free cards. LOL

That's a chunk of change I wish that wasn't taken out of my account. The suck is I'm probably gonna have to pay to ship these hoes back.

Different BIOS, same thing. Maybe this is not a 470...

Kombuster really make this thing go nuts. It went through Heaven fine with the 465 bios.

how did you flash it? what commands?

I'm very tempted to buy the GTX 465 GE but my concern is the unlocking method to convert into the GTX 470. Does anybody know the possible odds of a GTX 465 GE not able to be unlocked into a GTX 470? Are there any incidents known of a GTX 465 GE not being unlocked?

I used the guide on here.

nvflash --eraseeeeprom [enter]

nvflash --index=0 -4 -5 -6 470.rom

what should voltage be for stock clocks? It's at .912 now
