Add me to the list, #1816 is fully unlocked no problem.

Also does anyone know how you can tell the VID?

Yep. Use MSI's Afterburner. Just click its Settings button, enable "Unlock voltage control" as well as "Unlock voltage monitoring". Unlocking voltage control allows you to adjust the voltage and always see your current voltage setting, and unlocking voltage monitoring allows you to monitor the actual voltage in the graphs.

So once you do that, all you need to go by for the VID is the current setting for the voltage as oppose to watching the graph.

Alright thanks alot +rep. My starting voltage was 1.025 which im guessing is pretty high.

So is the max voltage still 1.087 or is it higher now since it is unlocked?

Edit: So far I have been able to run 800/1600/1700 at 1.05V.
My starting voltage on #1761 was also at 1.025, I tried going lower, but could not find much stability. I'm currently running @ 750/1500/1800 at 1.025, and I'm rather happy with the results.

You may want to use something other than just kombustor if you are trying to test stability. I have been using a combo of OCCT, and furmark.

Congrats, and welcome to our club

The stock VID is whatever voltage it runs at when running a 3d application, assuming you've left it at default, i.e. you've not overvolted it yourself.

Like 2C said above, Afterburner works to check it. Follow his instructions and then just look where the voltage slider is at ... that's your stock VID.

Although, like I say above, when you flash it w/470 bios, your stock VID will drop by 12.5mV. So if you now see 1000mV after flashing, then your actual stock VID was 1013mV.

Thanks for everyone's help especially you TwoCables and Rangerscott.

So I've spent way too much time the last 2 days testing out 2 "open box" newegg cards and I finally decided on which to keep.

I was having driver issues with both cards and I beleive the nvidia drivers were conflicting with something? My guess is my Creative drivers? Anyways, everything worked but my card would magically under perform even though Afterburner was showing the proper clocks. I installed the latest 260.63beta drivers and my problem so far has went away. I really like the installation process on the new drivers and I can't wait for the full version.

I'm keeping card #1954 who was returned by fellow OC member yym789. It has stock unlocked 470 vid of .950v. Which I thought was pretty decent for an open box. I'm so far able to set the clocks at:
updated:
810 1600 1850 VID 1.000v
835 1670 1800 VID 1.050v
850 1700 1900 VID 1.087v (I might be able to lower the vid but I haven't tried yet)
I have yet to try anything higher as I'm satisfied with this so far. My highest Vantage score has been gpu 18,300. Does that sound right for a 850c?

Great card, it's pretty quiet up until about 65-70% fans, that's when it starts getting audible but it's not a terrible sound up to 80%.

Anyways, please add my to the list and update that card #1954 belongs to me now. Thanks
