Just an update for those who are running GT 240s as dedicated PhysX processors: I am getting WAY lower CPU scores and slightly lower GPU scores WITH the addition of the GT 240 vs only GTX 470. This is with a PNY GT 240 512MB GDDR5. Thank goodness for benchmark apps.

Yeah...I figured it would unlock. But when O clocked (as a 465) it fell on it's face compaired to my first card...so it went back. I didnt think that flashing the bios would fix it.

Indeed sir, I was going to return it to newegg, but sold it instead so I didn't have to pay for shipping. When I saw it on newegg as an open-box item I figured it was one that somebody had returned, but still felt like taking a shot at it for the price they had it at, i think it was 218 after shipping. I sold it for $230, so it worked out.

+1 Good to know, I was contemplating adding a physx card. I just got a new p55 motherboard with SLI and an extra slot for physx. I will probably just forget about the physx card idea. Maybe if more games, that I actually want to play, come out utilizing the technology, I'll reconsider.

Better yet you should of purchased a 470 and swapped out the coolers ...then sold the 1410 as a 470...

Yeah, I don't really need SLI at the moment though, I'm limited to 1680x1050 res by my crappy acer monitor. I have been waiting for this thing to die before I buy a nicer one, but if it doesn't die by early next year I'll get a new one, and a second 470. $$ was the other motivating factor, I wanted to use the money to go buy an i5 760 or i7 870 for my new mobo.

Just received mine from ewiz.com it is # 2023 and it does has 10 ram chips. The only problem is that i really don't want to open the card and see if the chip is from the 470 is there any other way to know???

If you're looking at Vantage, which it sounds like you are, that is to be expected.

Try it with Batman or Mafia 2, using highest IQ settings so that the 470 is well tapped out doing the rendering portion. That's where you'll see the advantage to the PhysX card.
