Or im missing something while installing the drivers?
It may not have anything to do with the fact that the card is "unlocked" because all we are doing here is taking a GTX 470 that was sold as a GTX 465, and turning it back into a GTX 470. However, let's consider the possible reasons why they were sold as GTX 465s instead of 470s.

So, it may be necessary to raise the voltage a little.

Edit: from where did you get a version of "263.00"?

I purchased one of these cards a few months back. It has worked great with the 470 flash but the other night I noticed my temperature was fluctuating. I looked in afterburner and notice my fan RPM measure was also fluctuating and completely turning on and off. I took the card out and the one fan doesn't spin like the other when I try to spin it with my finger. It seems like that one fan is dying. So do I want to RMA it? Do I need to flash it back down to 465 before I do? Will I get the same card back? any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I'm thinking of watercooling my GE, too. Did you make some modifications on the EK Full cover block? Since we all know that GE is a non reference card that's why I'm asking.

I already have it @1.087v just to be stable as a 470 (just the #1698; #1692 runs perfectly fine @ stock voltage)
How much voltage is considered safe with the TF2 cooler?
I think i get the 263.00 drivers here, i think those are Beta's leaked from some manufacturer, gigabyte i think, they work perfect with those but anything newer don't work with #1698.

These aren't non-reference cards, just reference ones with a non reference cooler so it will fit perfectly.

Correct me if I'm wrong but from my understanding, all reference cards have the manufacturer logo printed on PCB.

Same way you flashed it to the 470. Literally. Why?

I used to have card No. 1430 but due to a bad fan bearing I RMA'ed it which ended up being a complete disaster. When MSI received the card they discovered a huge dent in the copper heatsink courtesy of our friends at UPS, and MSI explained they couldn't take any actions until a $40 fee was paid to replace the whole card. I ended filing a damage claim at UPS which extended the whole process by almost two weeks. In the end the damage claim was granted and UPS covered the replacement fee and shipping costs, MSI got their money and sent me my replacement, which has so many scratches it looks like a batch of kittens got to it (my oringinal card was in mint condition btw).

As much as I wish that this grueling nightmare is finally over, it is not. I installed this replacement card in my other rig last night and whuddya know? One of the fans rattle @ anything above 50% fan speed.

I am seriously done with MSIs RMA department which leads me here. Can anyone help confirm if this fan (Evercool Long Life) will work as a replacement? If not, does anyone have any solid suggestions for a good replacement? I just want to get this card rolling finally, that's all. Thanks in advance.

For 10$ + shipping I will not hesitate on buying this. Might as well buy two now and replace both of them. You could've bought these fans in the first place.
