Hopefully these 465s will unlock and I can actually play Metro without the huge lag in some scenes.

Has your 465 shipped yet?
Yeah I am going to have to find a copy of Metro 2033, I am a big fan of the STALKER games, and I hear it is kind of a spiritual successor, and it looks awesome to boot.

I just got the shipping notice for both cards. Shipped by Purolator Ground U.S. from Edison, NJ. Let's just say they won't be here tomorrow.

That's a game I haven't tried at all, even though I've heard they were amazing. I'm going to have to look into them.

To be honest, I would just skip to the last one, you won't miss much.

Which is Call of Pripyat? I'm really not that familiar with the series.

Yeah, CoP was the last one.

I should be honest and say I haven't played through it all, but from what I played it doesn't exactly break the mold set by the first and second games. Pretty much just the refinement of the same equation.

Well, I'll start with that one. Thanks Kamakazi!

I honestly have to wonder about that Hardware Zone review on the card. I would be willing to bet they simply had a poorly mounted heatsink or they were running the card without proper ventilation. I can't imagine the full copper heatsink dissipating heat any worse than the aluminum Twin Frozr.

I mean, I understand that the increased density of Copper allows it to absorb and hold more heat, but I would think that the increased thermal conductivity would also allow it to wick heat away faster as well. I think the fan profile wasn't set properly or something.

It could just be the card that was tested. I mean, one card can't speak for the rest. Do us a favor and post your temps when you get yours.

Will do. I'll be popping it in around 4:45-5PM EST today and will provide a quick update
