MSI GTX465 Twin Frozr II Golden Edition Owners Club - Page 84

Wow, $60 price hike. This will most certainly not help my inner debate about whether or not 470s in SLI is overkill. Can we take from the fact that it's now priced on par with 470s that this is basically guaranteeing that MSI threw all these shiny heatsinks onto 470 PCBs? Actually, I just looked and the ASUS 470s are $270 with free shipping after rebate.

Page 72 & 73 have some Vantage scores on an Overclock and on Stock clocks, if you want to use them in the OP.

Not sure if you saw them but figured I'd let you know
I used paint to combine your afterburner and vantage screenshots. I've also added your stock vantage run but I wasn't sure what BIOS you used so I don't know the correct frequencies.

Thanks for the help!

I want to hear from more people with these cards. We've got a 100% unlock rate right now but that's still only 6 unlocks.

It was on the "Best performing" highest voltage unlocked Bios, for the stock vantage run.

Edit: You should probably add into the OP that those Vantage runs are with Physx off.

To get this card I traded in my 5850 for gtx 260 55nm 216sp + $125.
But while I'm waiting for this card I'm already impressed with the performance on gtx 260. I don't think I needed to buy gtx 465 at all. my 4870 was a little lacking so I upgraded to 5850 but now gtx 260 doing well, I'm seriously considering a return for the incoming card... I don't know what to do!

This actually makes the NCIX bundle a good deal. The card plus 3 decent games for $333. That being said, I'd probably just buy a real GTX 470 for that price.

Mine is in Toronto right now. Hopefully I'll see them sometime this week.
$309.99 USD + $7.87 shipping. :/

This isn't the first time I've noticed this, but I just kind of find it interesting that it's the same price as Newegg.ca.

It's actually a $50 hike because it used to be $259.99. But still...

Yeah, the thing I find most interesting is they removed the "See price in cart" link and then changed the product page so that it looked like the $259.99 shipped price was just kinda normal (it was visible). Then a few hours later the price goes up to $309.99, and the "real" 470 prices go down.

You'll be hearing from me as early as Tuesday night! It could be later though because I hope to get used to it as the 465 first so that I better appreciate it as a 470.

It's a collector's edition card. It's a limited edition run of only 2500. I mean, don't return it! Keep it and flash it to a 470!

If the price had changed within the same day you ordered your item, Newegg would be able to accommodate you on any price adjustments. If there were an increase in pricing, Newegg would not change your original price to the newly increased price prior to shipping your item out.

Newegg provides discounts in various forms: Daily specials, Monthly Blowouts, Instant Rebates and Manufacturer Rebates and also Holiday Specials. This would be something you can check into on a regular basis.

However, since we do consider you as our valued customer, we are willing to offer you a discount off your order with this item as a courtesy. To take advantage of this offer, whenever you place a new order, simply reply to this email with your new order number after the new order is shipped and invoiced. We will issue the credit as promised for you.

Newegg also has an option called 'Price Alert', which you enter in your information (i.e. email address) and the maximum price you would pay for this item. If the price of this item reaches the one that you have entered. You will be emailed an alert of the reduced price on the requested item.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please visit our FAQs page. If you still need assistance, please feel free to email me directly and I will be happy to assist you.
Should I do it?

I was factoring in the $7.87 shipping that they added in as well. So really it's a $57.86 price hike, there >o
