The Misfits - Page 181

Well, new update and after 2 days MISFITS are in 2nd place, 43.5k pnts behind the BBTs. They timed it so all 3 of their bigadv folders dropped one on the first! But we've had one on each of the 2 days so far, and NLM dropped one today. So we should be right there. The 4th is looking like a not so good day, but I have 1 on the 5th and I think so does CB. No sure about NLM but he might have one then or on the 6th. Just got to keep folding harder to catch up, we're not that far behind! Actually less than 1 bigadv behind because of the EXCELLENT folding of our two GPU folders, VW and k4!

Ok guys, time to suck it up and FOLD, MISFITS, FOLD!!

Damn power tripped earlier, but didn't realise as we were eating in the dining room and there wasn't anything plugged into the sockets that was running in earshot...and that was the only circuit that went - all the lights were working, as was the heating (gas powered, but if it doesn't have leccy it doesn't work...as the controller doesn't send a signal to fire up) so I've lost about three hours of Folding, as the Scheduled Task doesn't seem to want to work on WKS04, and I haven't been bothered to feck about repeatedly restarting to test out why, and I don't want to bugger about in the registry to leave my password (in plain text) in there to automagically login........

Anyway, crunching a 6900 with a current guesstimation (after only 1% done) to have:

Ok, if that's GMT, then it will probably count for the 6th, right?

Correct, as it'd be 21:26 on 06 JAN 11 going by EOC times...so should be on their midnight update...

That's also when I'll have gone past the 6m point...

Oh, and on a separate note, Z said that s/he will give me the one month's credit I need to get the FaT badge...due to the work I did to get the FaT spreadie to where it is now, albeit that s/he "prettified" it to sort out the colours and has since added a few things (like the average points, and which 'band' we were in for the December FaT) but it has made it much easier to deal with - both on a normal month-to-month basis, and on an overall totals and rankings stand point...

Good news and bad news. I wanted to let you guys know in advance that I'm going to be down for a few days this upcoming week. On the 11th I'm heading back to tech but due to our House Supervisor being an idiot I can't get into my dorm until the 14th and until then I will be staying at a girls place (good news) but I will not be able to fold again until sometime on the 14th when I get into my dorm and set everything up (bad news).

Ok, VW. since it's only for the 4 days (Tuesday through Friday, 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th) I'll just put my trusty GTX470 back on line for the team during those days (if zodac approves).

hey z...got any problems with us doing that just for those 4 days? Can you go over the procedure again (what I have to do) so I don't bonehead it like I did with my smp folding? Thx!!

Oh, and make sure to keep on folding through the 10th, and try to get back up and folding by first thing the 15th as all points on those days for our FERMI folder will be from you, VW. Have a safe trip back...(hmmm....staying with a girl.....yep, good news!)

MISFITS!!! We are now almost 117k pnts behind Shizzle Tang, in 4th place. Of course, we've been folding the past 4 days with 1 hand (folder?) behind our backs...but I finished up a bigadv today for 70k, and I know that NLM has one finishing tomorrow (hopefully). Also, CB just started back bigadv folding so he should have one dropping any time now. CB, can you confirm again when your first one this month will finish?

Sorry to have to rely so heavily on you guys, VW and k4, but thanks for your efforts! That 30k ppd+ you're giving us is helping us stay in it.

Now for the (again hopefully) good news...I SHOULD have the parts in this weekend to repair that pesky 980X. If so, I'll finish up the bigadv I am working on at the time and then get my (correct) passkey inserted and start folding with it again. That should help us make up any difference we're still behind at that time.

Thanks everybody! Looks like it's a horse race this month, but MISFITS FOR THE FOURPEAT!
