The Misfits - Page 195

Our lead is actually going to drop ~5k. Zodac was taking points from other places other then through the pass keys. I recently started folding on my CPU as well and when I saw the latest update I knew something was off so i sent Zodac a message right away and gave him my passkey. I did make sure to use a different passkey for my CPU because that's how I thought Zodac was doing the points but obviously I was wrong. Zodac has my GPU passkey now and should be clearing everything up soon but just wanted to give a quick heads up.

Woke up today to find that WKS04 had had another BSOD, so I've fired it back up and will tinker later... Got the same 0x124 (IIRC) error as the other day, which is possiibly the sound card again.. At least it was on the same WU as it was before, so it should only be one WU with cr@p points rather than two - it is still showing as expected to complete in time for the bonus points, even after two periods of FAIL...

Not a big deal, 5k pnts isn't much in the grand scheme of things. Keep on folding and you'll more than make it up, VW.

Ouch...maybe you could just stop sleeping and monitor your CPU all the time

Understand about the bsod, better than me the other day LOSING a nice bigadv when my system was unstable. Hmm, though this just started after you upped your OC to 4.2Ghz, right? That might have something to do with it.
You could drop back down to your last stable settings to fold the next bigadv and see what happens. If it bsods again, it wasn't that.

Ok Misfits, reading the tea leaves (and stats) from yesterday, I think ST gained 65k on us and BBT about 145k , but that still would leave them 53k and 56k behind us, respectively. Or if as VW says we will lose 5k of our lead, then 48k and 51k pnts. But hey, we would still be in the lead and for 2 straight days for the first time this month! Oh, and GREAT DAY by k4, 15k pnts, best day for him this month.

My 90k pnt bigadv finishes today. Know NLM's has been delayed, but when will it finish up? Today or the 19th? Guessing today, but don't know for sure with the BSODs you've had. CB, when do you drop your next one, around the 20th?

Looking good...still 13 days left in the month but I think we can start to REestablish MISFIT dominance!

For once I had a full day of some good units. Usually it gets split half and half... good units for part of the day, and slow ones the other half.

Indeed, can't be sure about the ETA, but I think I'm gonna install HFM on SRV01 so that I can tell whether WKS04 is up or not more easily - I don't always look for [or notice] the 'last refreshed' section...so that (installing HFM on SRV01) would mean that if the server's down or otherwise offline [externally] then I won't be able to load the page, and if WKS04 is offline, then it'd be flagged up properly...

Obviously, the average TPF is gonna be brought down, so the total points (presuming no more BSODs or other offline issues) should only go in one direction....

Mine drops tomorrow morning.

Also, this morning, I got a random BSOD. It's normally the BSOD I get while overclocking, but I've been folding for a month on this overclock with no problem. Hopefully it's not chip degradation!

Luckily I was here to restart the computer. Only lost a few minutes of folding.

Ok, that's great (the bigadv, NOT the bsod, CB). Looks like NLM and you will both drop tomorrow for maybe 130-140k pnts. I finished mine up for 90k. Looks like ST had one drop today (for less than mine) and none from BBT yet. Doing very well...I've just got my fingers crossed I picked up another good one and I might be finishing it up late tomorrow evening as well!

Good news, I picked up another 6900. Due to complete for 90k pnts late tomorrow. Probably (with delay) will count in the results for the 20th. Still, 2 90k pnts bigadvs in 3 days is WAY better than what I was doing. Onward, MISFITS!

I've now installed HFM on SRV01 and it is set to publish it on IIS, if you want the link (or if I've already sent the other [old, WKS04's HFM client] link) then send me a PM...
