I did pick up a 2686 that will be done tomorrow afternoon, but I lost about 1 day of folding. Just disappeared. Got a Client-Core communications error, then it just deleted the wu and downloaded a new one.
I've dropped back down to my rock solid 4.154Ghz OC, which really only loses me like 2k pnts over 4.4Ghz on a bigadv. I think I'll just keep it there until I have some real testing time (maybe after we've gotten a big lead).
Yup, got home to see it had had another BSOD, but this time it was for a 0xBE error with "FLTMGR.SYS" instead of the 0x124 that I'd been seeing before.
Anyway, I've changed WKS04 to auto-restart on BSOD and to login automagically (through the registry change that I made) so at least in future I won't actually lose time like that.
I find it a little odd that it will stay up and running for ages (24+ hours) before it has an issue, and it doesn't actually affect the WU. The WU that had got to 99% before the BSOD (looks like it fell over about 50 seconds after writing the checkpoint
) finished ~30 minutes after I started it back up, but it was unable to send for over 5 hours, so all-in-all it lost about 12~14 hours of bonus on it...
(it was finally sent when the next (6900) WU got to 8%)
