The Misfits - Page 212

Ok, we've definitely got a number of teams gunning for us (talking about upgrades, etc).
Thanks to VW and k4 for their steady 30k ppd. CB's lost bigadv hurt, but nothing to do about it but keep on folding. I'm going to make sure my 980X just folds to its little hexacore hearts content this weekend. Hoping for TWO bigadvs this weekend at 93k pnts each. NLM had one finish up today. Looks like he picked up a 6900 that will be done late Sunday (MAYBE on Monday's points, hopefully on Sunday's) for 75k. I know CB said he had one finishing on Sunday. If all goes well, we could have 105k pnts today, another 120k pnts tomorrow, and up to 250k pnts on Sunday. I think laying down 425k pnts over 3 days may well get us back where MISFITS belong, in FIRST PLACE!

Aaaaarrrrggghhhhh!!!!! I feel like Charlie Brown right after Lucy pulls the football out. And if you don't know the reference, look it up (I'm too upset right now to explain it).

My bigadv got to 98%....NINETY-EIGHT PERCENT...and then got the client-core communication error and DELETED ALL THE WORK! I was like 30 minutes from finishing it. And then, to add INSULT TO INJURY, fah3 stopped and didn't pick up another wu until I got up a while ago, saw it, silently blew up (my family was still asleep) and restarted it.

So 93k pnts (plus another probably 7k pnts due to lost time) gone.

I did pick up another 6900, due tomorrow afternoon. And I dropped my OC down a couple of mhz. Still not sure why I got the error, I had completed a couple of wus at ths OC.

We did move up to 2nd place, Slammers is ahead of us. But we'll drop tomorrow with the loss of this wu. All we'll have today is k4 and VWs points. We should be better tomorrow...still....aaaaaarrrrrgggghhhh!!!!

Make sure your OC is stable. It does us no good if it drops units. Probably one unit dropped during the month puts us behind what we would be at if it was stable.

I hear you, k4. I had thought this one was stable after a couple of wus, but guess not. I've dropped it down some now to ensure it won't do it again.

Plenty of time left....we didn't take the lead FOR GOOD last month until the 16th.
Enjoy your lead for the (short) time you have it, Slammers!

Oh god that sucks! That happened to me during 4.2 GHz testing before this month's competition. It was at 93% but no less infuriating. Seems like several of us are having bad luck this first week or so of the competition. What did you bump the OC to that was seemingly unstable?

Hmm... Seems that WKS04 has started to BSOD (and automagically restart and resume Folding) twice per 6900 WU, compared to the once it was a week or two ago...
