Absolutely! You have to move to Linux (suggest Ubuntu), set up the 8 to 12 core (thread) spoof, and make sure to use file system ext3, not ext4 (for some reason, it takes FOREVER to upload if you're on 4). I think there is a thread on how to set it up. I'll troll for that and add it. There are even 2500ks that complete the big -bigadvs!

Although, you can use ext4 if you're on an SSD.

Hmm, interesting. Hadn't heard that. I have Win7 on my ssds...so I used one of my Caviar Blacks for Linux. Wonder if I can rearrange that? Maybe...hmm..

Sorry sstnt, but I forgot that the power went out yesterday... and I never restarted my folding rig. >_> So, I did, the unit was gone... I just reinstalled Ubuntu and did a few other things and now I'm folding a 6903.

Glad to hear you are on a 6903....that plus what just happened makes it EVEN MORE IMPORTANT for you to do this:

http://www.overclock.net/overclock-n...em-bigadv.html

It will allow you to automatically BACK UP your bigadvs automatically. That way if you lose one, you can recover most all of it! I'm doing this tomorrow when I move back over to Linux. NLM, you need to do it to if you haven't already!

Okay, I did it.

When you error out, maybe try to up one more time (sometimes one clock speed is unstable, a higher one is stable). If that errors out, back it down to the highest speed that was stable and there ya go. Fo sure 950 is stable for you, just go up a few mhz at a time and do maybe 6-10 wus to test it.
Thanks for the tips. Im new to this. My AMD overdrive only allows me to push 950MHz for some reason. Is there something I need to do to open up higher speeds?

Any update on what's going on with the i7-1 position? Is k4 coming back, or should I begin looking for another one?

Think k4 is out for a while. You can look for either an I7 hex OR a replacement for my 9800GX2/9800GTX, either one.

What software are you using? You're in Crossfire right, only folding on 1, or what?
Ok... it'll be a full time replacement then, yes?
