I'm currently running a VM and getting about 16.5K PPD. I was thinking about going native linux lately but class is currently keeping me far too busy. Have a nice 600 word spanish essay to write, ~30 more pages of reading, and some statistics homework. All that on top of about 120 pages I've already read...

Except I am running Linux with a GUI (just too much messing around to do if just from the command line...and for not really much in the way of extra cpu cycles).

That's what I figured most people were using with V7. I tried bigadv but actually get a better consistency of 60k+ ppd units using the advanced flag.

Good news, Bad news time guys! Good news is that last update we were 101k pnts ahead. Bad news is that I have been getting 80XX wus that dropped my ppd down to about 45-50k pnts...and now it seems my system is down! No points last 2 updates....which is very unusual. I'm at work now so can't fix it...but will try to sneak home and see what's up at lunchtime (3 hours from now).
I have been having problems with my internet connection on that system (it's connected via wireless) and I think that's probably it. So FOLD HARD guys....we'll lose probably 20-25k pnts today from that. redface.gif

Actually it wasn't my system being down...it's just a crummy 7645 wu worth like 22k, tpf 9 minutes 35 second, giving me like 35k ppd. Hopefully after this one gets through, I'll pick up some better wus!

Edit: Ok, last update we're down to just a 63k pnt lead over Laundromatic. But at the next update I should have a 22k+ pnt drop (that darn 7645), and if I get it in relatively early, maybe even another wu finished depending on what I get. Also, looks like Onions is on another long one, and hopefully he'll drop it in the next few updates. So maybe we will be able to stretch it out a bit again.

11 days into the month, as long as everybody can keep folding with no dropped time, and if wus remain about even, we're in good position. Don't miss any time, MISFITS! thumb.gif
