The 333 is your DDR speed. Actual RAM speed is 1/2 the DDR speed.

Maybe. Your CPU FSB is directly related to your RAM speed. If your FSB is at 200 and your RAM is at 200, the RAM runs at 200. If your FSB is at 250 and your RAM is at 200, the RAM runs at 250. That's why you run the RAM at a lower speed. As you overclock, it pushes the RAM up more and more.

The RAM runs at the same speed as your FSB but DDR sends data twice per clock (actually sends and/or receives) so people like to think of it as if it was doing twice as many operations so you double the FSB speed to get the DDR rating, for instance DDR400 really only runs at 200MHz.

No, it's running 196, when you set it to 333 in the bios it means you set it on a divider. If the fsb wat at 200 you ram would run at 166. If you set the bios to 400 then your ram will run at 250.

ok so my settings are at 233 times 11 to get 2750 clock speed I have heard that this ram will clock up to 243 so what do you think my settings should be at cause if my cpu clocks higher it gets too hot cause I only have the stock fan for now .Basically lookin for an answer to oc my ram as much as safely possible cause my cpu wont go higher yet with my current setup!

Tinker with Gogars... it helps a lot and can give optional settings!
