Which card to get?

Thread Starter
I'm going to have get $200 from eBay sales within the next few days. I'm going to either buy RAM or a new video card, I haven't decided yet. Does anyone know what the best card I can get for $200 or less is? I've been looking a lot at the 6800GS cards. Also, are there any cards that come with really good bundles?

I'm mostly looking at Newegg. And your post doesn't help me at all. I'm asking which specific card I should buy, not where I should purchase it.

7600 GT is slightly better than the GS.

Just wait to see if you can get a good deal on a 7800 GT, some fellas are starting to ditch those cards for a 7900 and selling the GTs for $225, but maybe someone could take your offer of $200.

Loook around the "for sale" forum and others, maybe there's a good deal waiting.

a 6800GS would be the best card to get for $200.

since you already have a 6600GT though, i would really save your money just a bit longer and get a 7900GT for ~$300. that would suit your 3700+ quite well. or like the above post says, try to snag a 7800GT used for as cheap as you can

Okay guys. Thanks for the help. So my options are pretty much:

7600GT
6800GS
7800GT (used from eBay or Buy/Sell Forum)

Would the 6800 be better than the 7600 if I flashed to BIOS and unlocked all 16 pipelines? Is it worth it to go for the 7600 or 6800, or should I save a little bit more cash and get the 7800? I don't make a whole lot of money (I'm only 13, no job), so it takes some time for be to save money. Keep the suggestions coming.

I agree with Tobuk. Save for a 7900GT or if you absolutely need a card ASAP, get a 7600GT unless you find a better deal on a 6800GS.

EDIT: Whoops, you posted while I was. You can't unlock a PCIe 68GS so just go with a 7600GT if you won't be able to save for a 7900GT.
