5.25 Bay cover with door? NOT Ghetto-Stealthed?

post #1 of 4
Thread Starter
Alright, So I'm looking for a black aluminum 5.25 bay cover with a latching door that will hide rocker switches, and one that will cover a dvd drive (the lian-li version supposedly won't work with a corsair 800d).

I can't find anything like this, anywhere. I've had advice like "just stealth it" but really, who wants a cut-and-paste crap job on a 300 dollar case? And just as well, I can't find anything that would hide a 3.5 rocker panel behind a 5.25 bay with a latching door.

Is this something anyone else has been able to find or mod themselves to look clean AND be functional?

Apologies for reviving a two and a half year old thread, but ...

This is exactly what I am looking for, to cover a 5.25" Card Reader and USB bay on a Lian Li PC-C60 case which will be fitted out as a HTPC / Media Server. This query is the closest thing I have found to an answer, and nobody ever responded to it!

So if anyone knows of an off the shelf solution, or has done a good clean mod to achieve the same result, please let me know.

Thanks.

Thanks for posting, but no. I'm looking for a unit where the door is the same size as a 5.25" bay, and hinges down for access to a media reader behind it. I want to completely stealth the 5.25" Card Reader and USB bay behind a blank door.

Something like these;
Akasa USB3.0 Card Reader
AFT USB3.0 Card Reader
Icy Box USB3.0 Card Reader

Hidden behind that bottom door of the black version of this;
Lian Li PC-C60 HTPC Chassis

So that I can't see the media reader (and all the white writing on them) unless I open the door.

Again, thanks for responding. Any other ideas? Anyone?
