Note how only the Handgun tier is showing, that's because I only pressed 2. However it looks similar with the others.

Each dot represents a different type of handgun. You have to press 2 each time to cycle through them

Nope, you'll find me quite a reasonable person to deal with!

That's interesting, never used that. I can certainly see how that would be a bother though. But I can honestly say I don't see how anyone could use that method anyway, with using your fingers to move around on wasd how could they be freed to also change weapons? Very odd.

I always used my scroll wheel and had no idea about this other way. I never had a problem with the scroll wheel though, the game punishes you for not using cover so that was always the perfect opportunity to quickly switch to your gun of choice.

Ah, fair enough then.

I suppose If I'd gotten used to that method at the beginning, I'd know where everything was in the wheel.

I'd still prefer them on the numbered keys though I'm used to it like that from other games. Even in things like Bad Company 2, I always preferred the keys over the scroll.

I think I'm used to my wheel from CoD series. And look at our forum stats, weirdly similar!

I need to go back through the game on hard mode I think. That, and I need to go and find all the extra goodies, and think I found maybe 7 of the magazine littered about! Just 7!

Haha, I noticed that earlier

I played on Hard to begin with. It was actually really hard, would you believe. I died. ALOT. Especially towards the end.

Nah, Sheffield United. I don't even like football. Just a unique nickname I've used since I was about 15 that's stuck with me

ha! That's kind of funny though, I had a coach who used to play for Sheffield. Totally forget his name, but that's the one thing I remember about him.

Reposting this here since I guess more M2 players will see it.

Turns out there is a free roam option, it's only available using a 'patch' though.

According to the site, you have to:

'...unpack this to: mafia ii -> pc -> sds_en -> gui, then select story - free ride'

And the DL link is:http://rs234.rapidshare.com/files/41...1/gui-main.rar

Scanned the file myself, clean - tried it and it works fine. Gives you a few weapons, cars in garage and Joe and Henry as followers.

I would link to the site its-self but it's probably best if I don't...

Oh, and there's now a slight update available:

http://rapidshare.com/files/416404918/freeraid_main.rar

'Unpack to pc/sds/missionscript/'

Don't know why the M2 devs didn't include this in the game, considering how quickly it was made by players. Then again, I expect something similar will be released as DLC sometime soon.
