Yeah, I just beat the game tonight. I really enjoyed the cut scenes, it felt like I was playing through a game of the movie 'Good Fellas'. I really enjoyed the music and the magazines (that part still doesn't beat 'The Saboteur' with it's nudity though, especially VIP room! check that game out, it's a good story/fun game) Anyways, the ending was a bit disappointing, you guys were right, felt like something extra was missing. Overall tho, it was really fun and I liked it a lot.

The best part in the game was where we had to sneak in dressed as janitors and set an explosive by the table.

..even THAT wasn't 'that good'.

I was shaking my head at the POTENTIAL for open world gameplay and how nice it could have been..and how badly the developers failed.

Co-op would be 'perfect' for this game.
Why?
Vito and Joe?
Or what about...even better
your name..and..the other guys name...

Some sort of Dynamic objectives system..and buy your own apartment somewhere..

oh wait..fantasy game...nm..developers don't do cool stuff.

edit: OH SNAP sorry for double post:|

Yeah, there's an achievement for collecting all the Wanted Posters. I'm going through the game right now just to get any of the missing achievements that I missed out on.

I got at least 15 playboy magazines before I gave up. However, trying to collect all of them to get the achievement.

This game had so much potential. However, I still like what they came up with. To be honest, I liked the linear story about it but I wanted more perks for the player. Maybe next time. Vito is now one of my favorite characters in video games. Co-op would have been great.

The game was decent, with epic story line and nice PhysX implementation.
I don't know why some people are bashing the game for not meeting their expectations to be the God's Gift to Human Kind that's going to revolutionize gaming forever.

For a mob - based GTA clone it went above the expectations of the standard console shooters.

New DLCs available. They're just $2.99 each but nothing special. Just seems to be cars and clothing.

Is anyone still getting random crashes? Most people have to reboot because every other program is "corrupted" and doesn't run/look properly.

Everything in Mafia II is good.Graphics, gameplay, cutscenes, story but ending it was horrible. It means how could you expect such ending with a great game like this (***).
Now 2K should not take 7 more years to launch Mafia III so that we know what happened after the ending after 7yrs.
