another 100$ for a case :/
or maybe you are skilled and can mod yours to make it fits?!

I modded my H70 because I wasn't satisfied with the temps coming from a Hyper 212 ( the temps were exactly the same after 1 week frown.gif ). After modding it, the temps are STILL exactly the same!!! Argh I wish I didn't get this cooler. I think most of the bubbles are out but I'll give it another week to see how it does. sozo.gif

The liquid is distilled water + Hyrdx + MX4. It's in push pull with AP-14s

yea im havn problems with my H70 also. Im running at 4.0ghz and at idle atm it's 50degree's but it's in a room that doesnt get alot of airflow and it's still summer here in australia. I was thinking there was air bubbles in the system too due to the high idle temps. Under load or playing games it sits around 70-74 degree's. I was hoping for a bit more out of this cooler, but is there ne quick fix's that i could try???

I don't think so. I usually hear bubbles when the H70 starts up (before modding it) and it goes away after a few seconds. There wouldn't be any way for the bubbles to come out since it's a closed system.

I actually had a weird bubbling/clicking sound on my h70 when I first got it. This was when I didn't have a case and I had it sit on the table.

Turns out, all I needed to do was reorient the mobo to be vertical. Once I put the h70 in the case I never heard the clicking sound again.

Most likely due to an inlet being partially open to air inside.

Well i replaced the fans with noctua NF-P12's and didnt get much of a difference. Heaps quieter thou which is nice. But ive noticed a big temperature difference between RealTemp GT and speedfan. When using RealTemp under Prime95 it shows and immediate jump to 84degree's but with speedfan it shows a steady climb up to about 70 degree's after about 5mins. Which is more accurate to read temps from???

Has anyone modded the retention bracket to fit a graphics card? Seems like a good, cheap solution to watercooling your GPU, especially with a bottom-mounted rad and pack of cheap Zalman VGA RAM sinks

I'm not sure about the new i5/i7 temperature monitors but the older Core 2 Quads had a problem with Core temp or Real temp (someone clarify?) giving the wrong temps. I just use Hardware Monitor to see all my temps (mostly CPU and GPU).

I don't think anyone has tried that but I have seen people adding a water block that covers only the GPU chip with the H50 pump.

realtemp is very good.. so is hwmonitor imo..but all programs may show you the wrong temperature if you set the wrong tjmax. the distance to tjmax decides everything.. regardless of this, the gpu temp should be always displayed right.

*UPDATE*

Here is whats left of my h50, it is in my second rig but it barely handles the 65nm cpu. it has not degraded, its the 120 rad that ive put back. maybe i will mod the tower and place a 240 rad i have left from my earlier rig..

To anyone, still feel free to post here your H50/H70 experience and Mods..

Cheers
