heyy, nice to see ya after a long time (;

this could make sense due the h100´s copperhead hopefully could make an advantage of taking enough heat to fit to a triple rad. but i am not sure.

i lapped my h50, lapped the cpu, had a 240+120 rad on it and there was almost no difference to a 240 rad :/

besides, people can try and i will add them to this club.

i regret it goin watercooling...
until you dont spend a really high amount of cash for a rly big tower and top notch blocks + rads and a rly good pump, you can easily stay on air and achieve very good temps with coolers like the mugen 2 and so on..

edit: isnt your cpu a overkill for your gpu (MSI N250GTS TwinFrozr 1G OC) ?! or did u OC teh hell outta it?

At some point, it seems the LCLC units are bottle-necked by the CPU block to the point that no amount of radiator will improve temps. I have a feeling it doesn't help that the heat from the pump is so close to the CPU as well. I know my h50 pump gets really hot if you remove the shell and touch the heatsink.

Yeah, I know - my CPU is WAY overkill for this dinky little GTS 250. Luckily the only game I play is CPU driven to a fault. A GTX 560 would improve FPS by about 25%, but a 570 or 580 would provide absolutely nothing more on a single-monitor setup. Regardless, I'm very stubbornly waiting for Kepler to release.

I was so very close to going full-on water cooling myself - even bought the pump! Had a re-evaluation of finances on my graduate student budget alongside my already decent enough temps with what I have and decided against it. I see the performance improvement and I completely understand the appeal - but decided I might just grab an H100 when the opportunity presents itself instead. With the cooler SB chips and the upcoming IB chips, I can't imagine anything more than an H100 ever being necessary.

Perhaps later down the road I'll mod it for the same reason I modded my h50 - just for the heck of it. Phobya 200 perhaps???

I have a few questions, I am eager to join the club, I am not very familiar to the water cooling scene, anyhow

1. I have a swiftech microres that I wanted to add to the loop but the black plastic barbs that come with it are too big for the tubing. So what size exact barbs do I need to replace current swiftech ones.

2. The tubing the ID (inner dimension is 1/4, right ? so what size tubing should I get? I heard people say 6mm ID? a bit confused. What size barbs/ fittings do I tell the store to give me?

3. I have seen some people fill the H70/H50 without a res? I dont see any fill ports on these things, So how are you people doing that? It doesn't say very clearly how redface.gif
