I would avoid the G.Skill line for DDR2 memory. It's overpriced for what you get and the timings arn't that great. They make good DDR1 memory, but their DDR2 memory isn't up to par yet. Instead, look at some Corsair 5400 or something like that. How much are you looking for (Size) and how much are you willing to spend?

Looking for 2X512 or 1X1gig

I'm on a budget, but not grumphy.

How about these:
Kingston HyperX PC2-6400 DDRII 800 MHz (2x512MB)Model: KHX6400D2K2/1G
or
Corsair XMS Xtreme / 1GB (2x512) / PC6400 Model: TWIN2X1024A-64
or
Corsair XMS2 PRO Xtreme / 1GB DDR / PC2 6400 Model: CM2X1024640PRO
or
OCZ Gold Dual / 1 GB (2x512MB)/PC2-6400 Model: 28001024ELDCGE
