Thread Starter
my proplem is i cant get past 1.5v for vcore. since i'm on water, my temp is pretty good, and i know my chip could go alot higher. Can you guys tell me what other SLI-MOBO that let me raise my vcore pass 1.5v. I heard about DFI but i'm a newbie and i want a newbie-proof BIOS. Any recomendation?

PS
when i first bought my MOBO/CPU , i just want to overcloking it slightly, but then after awhile , i just want push it to its grave..lol

I didn't know if you were planning to go sli, and since you have only one 7900GT it works just fine. With nVidia chipset the A8N32-sli deluxe I suppose would do.

If your ready for more than 1.5vcore then you should be ready for the DFI nf4 SLI-DR, the ram can take some tweaking but theres some really good guides and lots of knowledgable people to help you. Go for the board that will not hold you back from anything.

well, buy a dfi board is a big risk for me bacause of my limit knowledge about o.c..anyway i did look at the DFI board you mention..at newegg...it seem the chipset placement is in the way of the videocard...it maybe a proplem later on ...since video does get longer...I aslo love to simplicity of an ASUS MOBO..i wonder if the ASUS deluxe board will give me the better O.C number i looking for or it just exactly the same as Premium mobo??

The chipset placement is only a problem if you want to replace the stock cooler, the stocker is very flat and fits under the vid card (I should know, X1800xl is loooong card). I would check the asus sight and see if the mobo has a higher vcore than the premium (if it doesn't say outright see if they have a pdf of the manual, it should say what the range is in the bios section). Also if your not going to go SLI then the new ATI Express 3200 chipset is a great oc'er and asus is the only one out with one yet.
