Thread Starter
I just recieved a Sony VAIO VGN-FS775P/H laptop and I want to overclock it but, when I try to go into the bios there are no options to do so. Is there any other way to overclock my laptop?

Thanks

No you cannot overclock Store bought Computer's as said before the BIOS are locked. You can try Clockgen if you want to overclock really bad but since it's a laptop i recomend a fan cooler, What are the specs?

probably not, and you wouldn't want to oc your laptop, it'd eat up batteries and probably fry due to heat issues. Manufacturers like sony lock those options up pretty tight.

I just want to overclock the CPU just a bit, as well as the GPU because I''m getting 10 fps on half-life 2, which doesn't make sense to me.

I've tried to find out the specs on my GPU but I couldn't seem to find it. I'm starting to think it may be a driver issue.

Any suggestions are much appreciated.

I tried downloading ClockGen but I don't think my motherboard is supported by it.

I also downloaded cpu-z and that won't even tell what my motherboard is.

F**king Sony? lol

Oh wow thanks.

Still doesn't say much about my motherboard though, nor the video card.

Still don't know why I'm getting ONLY 60 fps on Counter-Strike and 10 fps on HL2. : /

Its pointless. You might just endup making it worse because of heat.
