Dell1726T-HS/D1025HT

My 17" Trinitron has always been a pretty good monitor. Over the course of the last year or so the connectivity in the cable that connects to the back of my sound card has grown worse. There's something wrong with the way red is displayed the colors over all seem kind of dull. There's a very small window of room that the cable can be adjusted so that the screen displays anythign at all. The cable does not detach from the back of the monitor. There was a pin in the adapter that looked like it was shoved down into the module. So I got a pair of needle-nose plyers and pulled it up as high as the rest of the pins were, and problems still persisted. Any ideas on how to replace the cable, if that's even possible.

You can replace the cable by your self but its 1 a lot of work, 2 kinda dangerous, 3 probably not going to help. What im saying is if the picture is going red the green gun is going out and it wont be long before your pounding on the side of it screaming that you should of replaced it when you had the chance. ITs not worth it. Kinda like polishing up a turd no matter what is still a turd.
