Easily. athlon quad vs phenom quad is an easy choice, dont think of it as an extra $30, think of it as ONLY $30.

Ok so if I add:

A 8800GT for $60.
Antec 300 for $50.
A PSU for $50.

Does this rig look solid for $400?

(Already have the HDD.)

It´s not looking too shabby at all.

Your current HD (if that´s the one your going to use) is a bit slow for an OS drive, also which PSU are you looking at ?

No, that's a laptop HDD. I'll be putting my Seagate 7200.11 250GB in the PC. As for PSU, probably a OCZ 500 watt.

Hmm I have a few more options now. Should I get the 955BE with the MSI mobo, or a Q6000 with a 780i mobo?

I think the 955BE is better than the Q6600....
