got a computer here and these are the specs:
evga 7800 gt 256
amd 64 3800 x2
asus a8 sli mobo
2 x 1gb of generic ram
2 stata hdd's

and heres the problem: installed the game "everquest 2" titanium edition on this computer after a fresh re-instal, no progrmas on it at all except this game, and tried to play. worked fine for a while, but after a few days game gets jumpy, and frame rates get wierd and off, mapping looks like crap, and feels like im riunning on a p.o.s computer. tried to re-instal xp-pro sp2 again and no lucky except for a little while at the beginning. also gets worse or happens when i run another program, like ie or something. can anyone give me some ideas? ill try pulling oput one stick of ram and then try again with the other, and and thinking it might be that fact that this game is not dual core at all and the cores might be having problems switching off the wrokload..if its even any work load at all...if you have any ideas or have a had a simial problem, please let me know.

ps. yes, i have all the latest drivers....

When you load the game up open Task Manager and set the affinty to 1 core, do this by right-clicking the .exe and there should should be Affinity -> 0 or 1. Set it and you'll be running it on 1 core like you would any other Single-Threaded CPU.
