The thing is for these cases, people actually manage to get their mobo to at least start up so that they can change their XMP settings or voltages whereas for my case, it just flat out doesnt even show anything on the monitor or display.

I'd think the mobo would beep one time indicating that there is no memory right? I dont think putting in incompatible memory, then taking all of the DIMMs out would cause any permanent damage to the mobo not causing it to post right?

Quote:
The memory you have is DDR 1333 PC3 10600 (Not 1600). I would recommend swapping these out for new memory immediately.
The memory suggested is: the 1333, but the one I use is the 1600, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2800CL6T-6GBPI

Does pushing the memok button on the motherboard do something? (right next to the RAM)

I wouldn't say it's a memory issue if the board does nothing with no DIMMs in, and G.SKILL is a great manufacturer, and so far their memory has liked my ASUS boards, go for a BIOS update~

According to manual it says if the DRAM light is lit red continuously, hold down the memtest until it starts blinking. After starting up, I held the memtest down for about 4 minutes and nothing happened, led stayed continuously lit both when I had DIMMs in, and when I took out all the DIMMs.

I cannot update the bios since the monitor never goes out of power save mode, so I do not have a display.

RMA the motherboard, that's what I'd do cause if it's not even posting...

BTW, wait for more experienced users to comment.

i think this is the problem
if everything is turning on that might be unplugged
make sure the graphics card is put in properly
make sure the ram, and basically everything is tight
make sure everything is connected where its suppose to be
if that doesn't work then you might have to rma but im pretty sure there's a problem with your cable connects or what ever so take some pictures of the mobo and stuff because that will help a lot

Pretty sure a bios update should fix your problem. Also, try completely clearing the CMOS and then start up.

Since I have no display since monitor doesnt come out of power save mode. (GPU should be working, the heatsink fan does kick on, and I did try reconnecting it) I am not sure how to accomplish that.

Isn't there a MemOK button on the motherboard?
