Overclock 3000+ Winchester

Hi guys. I got a computer I built a year ago. Amd 64 3000+ Winchester, on a Chaintech VNF4 ultra mobo, with corsair 1024 mb pc3200 RAM. I'm working off a 350w case, with 2 80mm fans, along with an artic cooling silencer64ultraTC fan/heatsink. I want to overclock my cpu, but after reading the FAQ and guide I'm still lost as to what I should do for a modest overclock. I dont want to do anything extreme, maybe a 25% increase in clock speed, something like that. I never turn off my computer, so I wonder if that will come into play. Anyway I saw a guy overclock his AMD 3000+ Venice core on the same mobo to 1024mhz over stock to 2824mhz on this site. That's impressive, but not for me. Any help?

First drop your multiplier and run 1:1 ratio and keep upping your Front Side Bus untill you get instability while running prime 95, then you can run your memory on a divider, so your memory isnt as fast as your CPU and try to overclock some more, be happy with around 2.5Ghz with a winchester core, unfortunately they cant handle the FSB that a venice can

I have no idea what all this means, or even where to start.
